Most of us remember Joe Rauschkolb as the Assistant Principal during our time there. However, Joe Rauschkolb was also a dedicated member and former Captain of OVAC (Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps), a former Captain of Independent Hose Co., and
a former Battalion Chief with the Murrells Inlet Garden City SC Fire
Department. I personally remember getting to know Joe during my time in OVAC. He was a great man and will be remembered fondly by students, colleagues, friends, and all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. Condolences to the Rauschkolb family.
