Congratulations, Coach Covert! It is an honor for the Class of 1965 to call you our Coach, our teacher, and our friend. Members of our class were on the team that Coach Covert guided to be the #1 High School Cross Country team in the Nation in 1963.

Denis Donovan who ran for Coach Covert on the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps cross-country team and was Coach Covert's assistant while he was there.
BTW, did you know that Coach Covert graduated from Sleepy Hollow High School… and was turned down there when he applied for a job as a teacher and coach? The rest is history!
